| COOKIN' IN THE KITCHEN A weekend of music, fun & food... For over five years, songwriter, musician, producer, Vinx has hosted the Songwriter's Soul Kitchen at his home/studio in McRae, GA, a small town just a few hours south of Atlanta. During each retreat, a collective of singers, producers, musicians, and writers are invited to the Soul Kitchen to work in studios to write and track song missions. The exciting part of each day...artist write with a different songwriting team....collaboration at its best!! The weekend thrives on a relaxed yet structured setting where we write, cook, eat, drink, create, chill, record, sing and play as a collective. Each guest is involved in the creative process and all are treated to insightful conversations into the music business. Basically, we just let the artistry flow! Peppered in for continuity, there are staff members with experience in PR, Marketing, photography, and videography to capture the magic during the course of the weekend. And of course, there's and administrative team to keep the days and nights moving with ease. In the End... Souls are reunited and lives are changed. Song is first... music is forever. Sound amazing? Soul Kitchen Ingredients
Workshops
Less a workshop, more like sitting around your
friends house with some of the most interesting
and colorful figures in indie music. Listeners get a
chance to hear our guest talk candidly about their
roots and culture, equipment, techniques, or
anything else they might consider relevant to a
successful music career.
Artists
This loose term describes the 20-25 singers,
producers, musicians, poets, songwriters, etc who
are selected to attend each Soul Kitchen. But above
all they are kindred souls and lovers of music who
share in a passion to create real song.
Studio Team
Not just top of their game in the studio and used to
getting the most out of creative individuals behind
the mixing board, these guys have stacks of
knowledge. They just love to share with the Artist in
between and after workshops.
Content Team
This group of heads is made of journalist,
videographers, marketing heads who make sue the
Soul Kitchen is the varied patchwork it is.
