Cookin' in the Kitchen
For the past year, songwriter, musician, producer, Vinx has hosted a
songwriter's retreat at his home/studio in McRae, GA, a small town just a
few hours south of Atlanta. During each retreat, a collective of singers,
producers, musicians, and writers are invited to the Soul Kitchen to work
in 5 mini studios to write and track song demos. The exciting part of
each day...artist write with a different songwriting team and producer -
collaboration at its best!
The weekend thrives on a relaxed setting where we cook, eat, drink,
create, chill, record, sing, and play as a collective. Each guest is involved
in the creative process and all are treated to insightful conversations on
the music business. Basically, we just let the artistry flow.
Peppered in for continuity, there are staff members with expertise in PR,
film documentation, and photography to capture the magic during the
course of the weekend. And of course, there's an administrative team to
keep the days and nights moving with ease.
The weekend concludes with Soul Kitchen Live! a live performance in the
round with all retreat guest. Sound amazing? We know its a rarity.
